About Jessica Dorling

Owner & Principal

Your home is where you live, work, play, love, and grow. At Dorling Design Studio, we design and build home spaces that delight families. By combining elements of harmony, balance, and the Northwest aesthetic, we create personal living environments that you and your loved ones will call home.

Northwest native and interior designer Jessica Dorling has a passion for expressing clients’ intentions through thoughtful home design and construction. A professional member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), she brings both experience and intention to every project—blending sustainability, imagination, and the seamless integration of form and function.

Jessica is also affiliated with the Northwest Society of Interior Designers (NWSID) and the National Kitchen & Bath Association (NKBA), connecting her with a broader network of design professionals and industry resources.

She earned her degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Seattle, began working with clients and builders in 1999, and has owned and managed an independent business since 2004. As a female business owner in the predominantly male construction industry, Jessica brings both technical expertise and a personal, collaborative approach to every space she helps shape.

“My fundamental principle of good design revolves around harnessing natural light, as it serves as the ultimate game-changer in interior design by unveiling the true colors of your decor and breathing life into your space."
